Being a Christian can seem like a hard task in a modern world that can become so consumed with the status quo and trying to fit in to not stand out. In a fallen world where it seems more acceptable to denounce Godly principles during times when individuals celebrate money and celebrities as if they were idols, it may feel uncomfortable to celebrate the glory of God without shame. Luckily, you are not alone. Christians who are young adults may be the most affected by the circumstances of trying to fit in with the people but also honoring the Lord and it can be an uneasy place to exist in. The good news is there are a few ways that you can continue to make God proud while simultaneously still being a young person maneuvering throughout the modern-day world. Here are severalĀ tips we can give the Christian who may seem lost in a sea full of people who they just don't relate to. The first major tool to feeling like you are not the only Christian on the face of the Earth as a young adult is to attend a local church bible study or small group. Most of us as Christians have had the opportunity to go to a bible study, however, going to one that involves other young adults can connect and help one network in this day and age. If you are lucky enough to attend or visit a big church then there are small groups available to attend that focus on finances, and Christian dating, and if they are not available to you then you should take up the courage to craft your group! This leads us to our other tip, if there is no sort of venue or young adult Christian atmosphere, you should take it upon yourself to create one. There is nothing better than getting a few friends together or even finding new friends by being in charge of the creation of a group, especially when it is glorifying the Lord. Getting involved in local charities or soup kitchens that can help bring the word of God to infringed individuals or people who otherwise would not have known the good news of Jesus can be one of the most rewarding tasks you commit to within your life. There is something to be said about stepping outside of yourself to help those who may need a little bit extra time, love, and tenderness than you do. As the Bible says we are to treat and love others as if they were ourselves. Helping out in places like a soup kitchen helps one to recognize the importance of giving parts of ourselves to the less fortunate because some folks have no idea what that struggle is all about! The most important factor is recognizing that times will always be changing and there will always be a new age, generation, and set of issues that may make being Christian seem uncool. However God will be around for all time and the coolest thing you can do is to be unapologetic about the love you have for Him, because after all, you are not alone.
